City of Kamloops
The City of Kamloops is supporting the Interior Women’s Centre Society with operational funding support through the Community Development Fund. This funding will support our agency with sustaining the Kamloops Women’s Centre Location for the 2025-2026 year. We are so excited about this partnership and look forward to developing a strong, long-standing relationship with the City.
Arts Legacy Fund 2024
The Interior Women’s Centre Society was a recipient of the 2024 Arts Legacy Fund, receiving funding to cover the costs of the 2024 International Overdose Awareness Day. Thank you to the City of Kamloops we were able to make this event possible. Remembering the lives lost within our communities and the work that needs to be done to prevent and reduce accidental overdose and drug poisoning fatalities.
Interior Health: Population Health | Health & Housing
The Interior Women’s Centre Society was awarded the Cold Weather Necessities For Unhoused Populations Fund through Interior Health’s Population Health: Health and Housing Program to support outreach initiatives over the winter months, supporting to keep our vulnerable communities safe and warm. Our advocates have been providing referrals, essential items and a warm space for support and connection this winter.
Arts Legacy Fund 2025
The Arts Legacy Fund supports initiatives that use art, culture, and community engagement to drive social change. In 2025, the fund will provide critical support for the International Women’s Day March in Kamloops, a powerful event raising awareness on women’s equity, safety, and rights. Through this funding, the march will feature cultural performances, a community-driven art installation honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), and a platform for voices advocating for gender justice.
By investing in artistic expression and advocacy, the Legacy Arts Fund ensures that stories of resilience and empowerment are seen, heard, and amplified—helping to shape a more equitable and just future for all women.
Justice Canada Victims Fund | Victims and Survivors Crime Week Grant 2025
The project amplifies the voices of survivors and victims through collaborative storytelling, symbolic acts like red ribbons to honour lives lost, and interactive discussions. By weaving together art, advocacy, and legal perspectives, we aim to inspire systemic changes and build a more supportive community framework.
